HELP

If you're reading this, we're guessing that you've purchased a house from Countryside Properties yourself and are having trouble getting it fixed.

The full content for this page is currently being assembled, shortly there will be some advice which may help, based on our experiences and the knowledge we have gained in the last five years.

In the meantime, these are the most important things to do if you suspect you have a defect with your house:

  • Appoint a Surveyor who is a Member or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building to view the defect and provide you with a report about it. Countryside Properties will probably tell you that they won't pay your Surveyor's fees. So far, Countryside Properties have paid ALL of our Surveyor fees amounting to thousands of pounds. Don't let the cost put you off; IF you feel you have a strong enough case and you are in the right, your Surveyor's professional report is the biggest weapon you have to fight Countryside Properties.
  • No matter how frustrated or angry you are, always be polite and reasonable when dealing with Countryside Properties, if you are abusive, you will just give them a legitimate reason to ignore your concerns.

Disclaimer: we are not responsible for any costs incurred by you in following this advice, use common sense and good judgment before committing to payment of professional fees.
